i got myself 2 new fish today and i love them. they r bolivian rams, 1 yellow and black the other white and pink!!! the lfs i got them at said they were cool to go with my other fish and they seem to b all gettin on just great. tho the lfs i usually go to say they are aggressive and shouldnt b kept in a community tank??? im confused...........

there chichlids, which means they could be the nicest fish in the world, or the most destuctive. but dont worry im sure they'll be fine in a community tank, thats what im doing.

Bolivians are very peaceful. The only problems you might run into is aggressiveness between themselves. They won't bother any other fish.

thanks guys :):) they seem ok towards each other. how do u tell the sex of them?

i think (notice the think since im not sure) females have a pinker belly and they their dorsal fin is smooth at the end. But i dont think you can tell unless they are older and close to mating

It's GBR's that have pink bellies. For Bolivians, it's near impossible to tell until they mature. Females will stay a little smaller, and won't have the long extensions on their dorsal fin and tail fin.
