Good morning everyone,
Been gone for some time due to a big move.
My 46 Gallon Bow Front aquarium that is shown in my first few posts in this forum is torn down due to a move across the country. :(
We are moved into our new home finally and it is on a well. I tested the PH yesterday and it was 6.0. I then put some water out of the same tap into a cup and let sit for aprox. 18 hours and took another reading which was still 6.0.
Is it safe to say that it would be stable at 6?
My intent for this setup is live plants and low PH inhabitants. Will live plants do ok in a low PH like 6.0?
Some of these domestic water softener's replace the mineral's (calcium, magnesium) that cause hard water stains, and replace them with salt's that over the long haul ,,maybe aren't all that good for the fishes.
Thank you for the quick reply. Our well/house has no outside attachments, i.e. water softner, RO of any kind. The tap water is straight from well with no alterations.
Not sure if that is good or bad???
I would very much like to have your water.
Get the plants in there and report back.
