moon efect birth

some one at super pets who is real nice and tends to advise other stores not super pets so i think shes trustable. She told me she bred platys and they have babies ever full moon is that true?

Yes, platys are much like werwolfs. (Just kidding)

Wonder if she has a window near the tank, that the moonlight would shine through?
I have read many times that adding moonlighting to your tank will entice the fish to span and reproduce.
I had some pike that had fry for the first time a few days after installing moonlighting.

I believe platys reproduce every 4-5 weeks, so it is possible.

All i know is they breed like rabbits. This morning I woke up and 2 of my breeding females were in the process of giving birth.

That means they were dropping their fry at very close to a new moon. I guess they never heard of the theory about a full moon.
