Plants handle copper?
does anyone know if plants will be okay with copper medication like coppersafe or cupramine. My fish has velvet, I been using tetra parasite guard bc its okay with plants but its not very effective and I want to switch to a copper based medication before my fish dies from stress.
I have dwarf hygro, dwarf sag, wisteria, java moss and ludwigia repens.
thanks so much!!
Thanks for the tip, I have quarantined all my fish and they are undergoing a treatment with Cupramine.
Does any know how long velvet will remain alive hostless? I plan to do a 14 day copper treatment for my fish, if my tank remains empty, will all the velvet parasites die by the time I am done?
I do not want a second round of infection, I don't think my fish will live through it...
IMHO one of two things could happen.
1) plants die.
2) plants remove copper from tank.
