Emergancy! Please read about temperature

Our A/C has been broke all day they have been trying to fix it for 5 hours...its 87 degrees in our house and the fish tank has been creeping up all day almost to 80 now...that is the MAX temp it needs to be for our fish...

How can I cool down the tank?? I read to freeze a bottle of water and let it float? what do you think??

I already added 2 gallons earlier of tap thinking it would be around 75 degree water..

Adding the frozen water bottle could help, or float some ice cubes in a bag.
Higher temps, depreciate oxygen levels, turn up the air and drop the water line if you have a HOB filter to get more air from the filter.

I agree with twistersrmom adding a frozen water bottle should do the job. Good luck
