How long before fish 55gal
Hey i was wondering how long befpore fish could go in my 55gal tank.I want livebearers.
thats depends on a numerous amount of questions we need answers for.....
there is a post on here somewhere about the proper informaiton to provide when posting a quesiton....anybody know where it is at???
you'll need to find that article and read it as there is a good amount of informaiton needed to answer your quesiton.
the tank must cycle. at least 4 weeks
you could use other tank water(if you have that) and add alot of it to the 55 as well as filter media. 3 weeks
either way its a period of deciding whats best for the tank
you won't gain hardly any beneficial bacteria from moving water to another tank......you need get some established filter media from a friends tank. or else you are looking at either a fish-in or fishless cycle...you can google and read about them.
a cycle could take atleast three weeks to cycle even if you add established filter media, but don't waste your time moving water from another tank
you need to give us some more detail about your tank.....
water parameters would be huge and anything else, filter type, are you cycling right now? or is your tank just sitting there running with a filter on it?
