Culturing algae
 

I am about to get ottos and i know how picky they are, so i was thinking of culturing my own algae outside, any tips?

I transferred an algae covered rock into my 55 one day when I ran out of algae pellets to feed to my pleco. Maybe set up a tank to grow algae w a bunch of different rocks that you can rotate through when the ottos clear one off. Dump your waterchange water into it to give it bioloaded water. Put it in a sunny window or stick lots of light over it.
