What does it do? Is it any good?
You can get blue ones so when you turn out your light the fish still have some light because in real life the moon gives off light at night and goes in the water. Which gives the fish the feeling of home. And it looks cool.
It's a necessity for some species of SW corals, but for FW it's just for looks from what I've read. It gives you something to see your noctural fish by.
i want to see pictures of a moon lit tank.
this one is a good example of what great moonlighting looks like. =)
Pretty much just looks for SW or FW. Though some say for SW it helps the corals, but not proven. I like them a lot.
