Platy Scales & Possible fin rot
 

One of my female platys has had a few raised scales near her head, I don't think it is dropsy as its only a few but she seems normal otherwise. Another female seems to have fin rot on her tail and dorsal fin although its not spreading.
Did a 25% water change and added 1 tablespoon salt per 5 gallons to attempt to clear anything up.
No change yet, any suggestions?

5 platys (sunburst?) 4 female 1 male
No live plants
Usually 76 degrees, can raise to almost 80 as it is summer
RENA filter 55 Gal & RENA Heater 50 Gal
pH: 8+ ammonia: 0 nitrite: >.5 nitrate: 0
I purchased them a week ago, scales raised 2 days ago, fin had notches in it when bought
