A quick question
Can I feed the fish in my aquarium
Worms from outside? :|
Will it affect there health or the tank?:-(
The worms are just plain old worms that come out after it rain
I think they are called earth worms. I use them to go fishing.:-P
What kind of fish? Ive heard of people feeding certain fish, BIG fish, nightcrawlers or earthworms but Im not sure. Its also not recommended to just pull them out of the ground and feed thembecause they might have contaminents and diseases. But I guess thats what happens in the wild so I dont see the big issue.
They are mickey mouse platys and guppies.
I think my fish would enjoy them as treat.
You'd have to chop them to small pieces. They are fine for use as long as they are not contaminated with pesticides which is the primary reason why worms from gardens may not be safe. Bait shops can be utilized for worm supplies. How to breed? Simple. Put them in a large box with garden compost and add biodegradable or organic items there such as rotten foods, etc.
I am going to a bait shop to buy some and I most likely
will breed them. My fish are going to love them. They
eat like pigs.
Has anyone here ever gave their fish Worms before?
I feed chopped up night crawlers to my cichlids after rinsing them off . Small red worms might be better for smaller fish. I only feed them as a treat maybe once a week and not too much.
Thats what I am going to be doing then.
