establishing java moss
Once you tie java moss to an item, how long does it take for it to establish itself and start growing?

I don't know a whole lot about aquatic plants, but I remember that when I put java moss in my tank, it only took 4 days or so for some of it to attach to the gravel. So I'd guess that after a week or two, your java moss would probably be attached pretty well. However, you probably will want to wait for a more expert opinion. ;-)

With java moss,it depends on the lighting. If you have low light,it will obviously take longer to start to grow and really attach itself to whatever it is tied to.I would say up to a couple weeks.
If your tank has medium to high light,it could attach and start to really start growing in a few days.
What size tank do you have, and what kind of lighting?

and i dosed the tank with Seachem Flourish the first day, and will again in half a week.

Dosing a lowlight tank with ferts could be a receipe for algae.I would not dose with anything but Flourish Excel myself.I would think in your tank that it would take 3 or 4 weeks for the moss to really take hold.

java moss, if your only plant, needs no ferts. It will grow under low light conditions also. Just leave it alone and it will establish itself within a week or so.
