platies... thing
 

At the fish store i saw a lot of platies with these long tube like things. It looked like they were pooping but it was connected to them. It is really really long. Can someone explain what this is?

it might have been the male reproductive organ? was it on the lower part of there body on the bottom side. the gonopodium? correct me if im wrong anyone.

no, it was longer than the platies whole body, much bigger than the gonopidum

umm wow. was it poop? lol because ive seen one of my mickey mouse platies poop realllyyy long!

some facy strains have a super long g,finapart from that i cant think of anything other than a pasite..ancor worm???

prob a poop my swords poop 12 inchs or so :/

Lol i thought the same thing. when i saw them then i read the tag and they are mix breeds of sword tails and something else i think.

Yes it was poo.

One of my blue platties is now trailing a string approximately 4 times the length of her body.
