Amaon Sword & Plecostomus = not good mix?
 

I've read a few time online today that these two aren't a good mix?

I'm wanting to get a sword, but don't wanna get it just to have it demolished by my pleco. He's about 3.5" long. Been that way for a year so not imagining him getting much bigger.

If they are known to do this, anyway I can get around it? Like maybe algae waffers?

i think it depends on how hungry the pleco is. How much algae u got?

There's some here and there. Also some on the main rock in my tank. I decided to just wing it and go with it. So far so good for the past three days. I got him some algae wafers as well. One in the morning, and one at night.

He pretty much eats those like they are going out of style haha.

well good. A firend of mine had a pleco in his biorb and it decimated his plants but i think it was cuz he had no algae and didnt feed it wafers.
