ok so i finally get a pretty good setup of 3 females 1 male. and then boom! one of the new 2 females thats larger then the others realizes while im asleep that shes in a small glass box and wants out. she jumped out the back hole where the filter is and found that we live in air. darn! but at least she wasnt pregnant, the new female in there is the large pregnant one.
blimey!! wat fish is it? a platy? i didnt realise that they jump? perhaps i should block my holes too, ive never seen a fish make a desperate bid for freedom!
I used to have the same problem with zebra danios, and found that they could jump a couple of inches and out the spaces at the back of the hood.
I've never had that problem with platys though.
