- - carbon? (http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/freshwater-aquarium-equipment/carbon-24493/)
I have a wet/dry filter, and I don't know where to incorporate the activated carbon. Do i even need the carbon?
I also have a wet/dry and don't use carbon except once when I used carbon to remove meds from my tank after treatment was complete. I also have an HOT magnum (hang on back filter) on this tank for extra filtration, which was where the carbon was placed. IMHO I don't believe carbon is neccessary.
i agree you don't need it unless you are trying to remove medication from your tank
