Moving 3 Male Platy's to new tank to give Female a break....

:shock:I have a platy species tank, at this point I have three males and one female ( I used to have another female but she passed away due to extreme swim bladder) The three male Platy's are harrassing her and I want to put them into another tank that is 35 gallons and currently has 2 moonlight gouramis and 3 green corydora's. So once they are gone, the platy tank will just have one pregnant, adult female and like....50 fry.
Any opinions? Will three male platy's get along when there is no female for them to fight over?

I have a male only endler tank. They are like guppies but smaller in size. The females are in a tank of their own. I keep the offspring that I like to keep in my breeding stock and rehome the ones that I do not want on craigslist. The males are fine. They just do that mating dance thing and the females are less stressed all together. If you want to mate a pair just put them together in a seperate tank or bowl for a day and then put the female back with the other females. Provide alot of floating plants and cover if you want to keep the fry after they are born. I do not like breeder boxes as they stress out the females. If you want to keep some of your baby fish you can always fish them out with a net and put them in a breeder net thing in you tank or transfer them to a small 1-2.5 gal. tank to grow up in til they are not big enough to fit in the mouths of the adults.
