Whats wrong with this protein skimmer
Why is this not making bubbles

Can we get more pictures that are not such close ups. What type of skimmer is this? What type of power head or pump are you using to push water into the skimmer? It appears to be a venturi model.... can we get a picture of the air intake?

that's not suppose to happen. The bubbles need to be in the skimmer body. Perhaps the airline isn't all the way secured?

I had a seaclone with the same problem. The outlet pushes a ton of bubbles into the display if you don't have the airline adjusted JUST right. And that is nearly impossible. A popular mod to this skimmer is to replace the little screw valve for the venturi pump. You can probably find one with a T-handle adjustment at a local plumbing shop... There are some good mods to this skimmer, I just can't seem to locate the thread I read them on...

am i supposed to play around with the air to find the right amount of it

Yeah, you will get to the point where you can adjust it by the sound it makes. It works a lot better in a sump, but that might be the case with every skimmer....

it was working than it just stoped working wierd

I found that I had to adjust the air inlet on that skimmer at least a few times a week. It would change the bubble production if the water level was low, or higher than normal.
