Proper/best way to do water changes
 
What's the best/proper way to do water changes? Please be detailed:)

Take the water out of the tap. Treat it with dechlorinator etc, let it sit there for around 4-6 hours (this part is optional but it is always best). Then just add to tank.

To take water out of your tank, buy a gravel cleaner/siphon at your lfs and follow the instructions. If needed you can vacuum the gravel bed but dont vacuum during cycling

I use a hose to syphon the water out of the tank. Then a hose to put water from the tap into the tank. I add what i need to add as the tank is filling.

dont suck the water from the hose cuz there are diseases that can be transmitable to humans
