quick question on cycling for rain water
i live on a farm and use tank water considering that the water is rain water and has been sitting in the tank for weeks or even more will fishless cycling be the same for me? this is something i cant find information on anywhere!!
there are no heavy metals (we have had it tested) or chlorine in it, i will do it anyway just in case (im setting a tank up on the weekend) any help would be great
The new tank cycle process is the same whatever the water source.
A caution on rainwater, it may contain dissolved acids (these would not show on metal tests), check the pH of the rain water so you'll know where you are starting from.
oh thank you im glad i asked now
thank you very much
