status of reef set-up
well, I spent the fortune it costs to purchase the chiller unit for my Red Sea Max 66G tank. The temperature is now where it needs to be around 78 degrees F. I was wondering if anyone has an idea on what the electric costs might run with the chiller. I have a 1/4 hp unit. In fact I'm holding my breath on what the costs of running the Red Sea Max tank is going to be. I purchased my first corals (tiny frags) and all but the mushroom seem to be doing pretty good. After a few more weeks I will try a larger piece and add a few fish.

I have 8 tanks in my house; 1-150, 2-125, 1-120, 1-75 (Salt), 1-66 (Coral), 1-42 (Salt). Living in Florida I don't need the heater with the exception of the 150 tank which houses discus, angels and a variety of other warmer climate fish.

I purchased the harlequin basslet for the reef tank based on the local aquarium shops suggestion and then found out that they are not reef safe fish so I had to move him to one of my other salt tanks. Of course when i did that it took out one of my dart fish.

Oh well I guess that is enough for today. I appreciate any insight you might have.

You have 8 aquariums currently? Very sweet. What livestock do you keep in each?
