Air pump questions
ok, I just got an air pump for my 10g and I was wandering if I have the tubing and all that do I still need an airstone to keep it effectively working? thanks!
no you don't u can place the tube directly in the tank, best to place something over the tube to keep it from floating to the top
What does it matter if its held down or not? the bubbles go to the surface no matter what.
its held down (by a rock and small gravel), i just didn't know if it would be usefull this way, my ten gallon is a little overstocked at the moment so I am trying to add more oxygen for the fish. Whitedevil, I would prefer that you keep any unnecessary or rude comments to yourself. thank you.
one thing to note, if your tank is heavily planted, adding an airstone will dissipate the naturally occurring CO2 that exists in the water......You might see a slowing in the growth of your plants....Thought that was worth mentioning
thanks, not too heavily planted, only a few live plants.... I just need more oxygen cuz I have too many fishies in there at the moment.....
