Ok, I'm doing the fishless, add ammonia type cycling, it's been about 6 weeks now. I have a 5 gallon filtered and heated tank. Last night I added enough ammonia to be 2 ppm. 24 hours later the ammonia is zero, nitites are about 1 ppm and nitrates are 40-60 ppm (It's so hard to tell on Nitrates with the API liquid kit with they are this high).
Anyway, my question is, about how much longer do I have now with these numbers?? I still keep adding ammonia, right???
Yep, still keep adding ammonia daily.
Not cycled yet, since nitrites did not make it to zero. My guess would be your only a few days away from having a cycled tank.
