Can i use a 300 gph pump in my 14 biocube?
I was wondering if it would be okay to use a Marineland Emperor 1140 (300 gph) for my 14 biocube in replacement of the stock pump, or would that be overkill?
it is not a filter, it is a powerhead.
Really? I googled it and it showed a filter... whelp, if it is indeed a powerhead with 300gph (i'd look to see if that's an acurate rating) then i'd say go for it. Or you could do 2 smaller with 150gph each to get a different direction or more alteration in the flow. Randomness is your friend.
Thanks! I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be causing a hurricane in my tank
You problably didn't find it on google because this particular model of powerhead I have had for several years (unused) and they may not sell it anymore. I could not find it when I went to a LFS.
I found a link for it Penguin 1140 Powerhead
