too much bubbles? is there a possibility of having too much bubbles? my bubble wand is making bubbles on the back of the tnak but it's circulating up n over n then back down and now there's bubbles everywhere!!! bubbles of all size... it's not planted yet, but will that help? my lil guppy cycling fish is scared and hides in the corner with bubbles sticking to him/her. also, it's not eating... = not helping with the cycling. |
I'd limit the circulation of bubbles. Too many bubbles will not be appreciated by the fish because of lots of disturbance. |
yea u dont wanna cause unnecessary stress on the fish so i'd limit it. also you mentioned that u plan on planting the tank. are you going with real plants? if so you can throw the bubbler out. well you can run it at night but not during the day. plants use C02 during the day, in the photosynthesis process. using a bubbler makes the c02 dissipate from the water quickly. |

so... I have to turn the bubbler off even if I get a lot of fishes in hte tank? I was just worried that the plants may not provide enough O2 in the tank... |
i have a clamp on my air pipe (from lfs) so it lets just enough air out, i used to knot the air line before i got it  hope u manage to sort it |
