Possible ICH!
 

There are not any white spots on my fish but they seem to be rubbing their gills up against the decor and the air tube. Should I add the aquarium salt an raise the temp to 84 or should i wait for the white spots?


Tank isn't yet cycled, but close.

Fish:

1 ghost knife
2 zebra danios
1 dalmation molly
1 dwarf gourami
1 black skirt tetra
1 red claw crab

I guess thats what I would do too. maybe others have some ideas on here.

If your going to do do a prevenative treatment i know that kent organics ick attack is gentle enouh to use as such and it works fast too. I don't know if it's safe for your crab tho.It is safe for scaless fish.

I suspect this is due to the cycling. Ammonia and nitrite affect fish gills, literally burning them. Don't compound the problem with adding medications to the tank during the cycling as that could stress the poor fish even more and be fatal. As was recommended previously in another thread, use "Cycle" and do the partial water changes at the first sign of distress (this is it).
