- - which plec? (http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/catfish/plec-2331/)
i have some brown algae in my tank so I wanted to get a pleco to take care of it. i have been told that a rubberlip would do the trick, but then i was told that i should get a bristlenose if i wanted it to get gone and stay gone. so anyways, my question is, which would do the job better? i need to choose one of these two cuz i dont want a 2 foot fish in my tank later. i want them to stay small. thanks!
A brislenose is the better worker of the 2, but the best working pleco I have come across is the L77 Rusty 8" max... If you are looking at really sml then ottocinclus would be a great option
no ottos...have angels, will eat.
oh, i cant get those around here. the only ones my lfs has are the tiny ones. they are like less than 1/2". they would just be a snack for my angels. lol
Get a Bristlenose, they only get to about 6 to 7 in inches fully grown and love algae!
