THis Test kit?

I have been looking into test kits and have not found a all in one test kit and I am not really sure what kind I need exactly and what test they should have. I have been looking at marine depot and found the Salifert brand test kit but every test is sold separately and in order to by all the test kits it would coast 230 dollars :-? is this correct? Salifert Test Kits For all of them. Is there ones that I do not need or ones that I could get cheaper?

API Master Saltwater Kit. Should be around $25.

If you are reefing, also purchase a seperate calcium and magnesium test.

And make sure they are liquid kits.

8) That is why I like these forums so helpful! Yup I am doing a reef tank. Any recommendations of what kind of mag/ca tests? Brand wise.

I bought API™ Reef Master Test Kit - Saltwater - Fish - PetSmart and I was wondering if this is the same as API master saltwater test kit. Cause this is "reef master test kit" :-?

the API saltwater reef kits contain different ones then the saltwater master kits. salifert is a great brand IMO, but as youve found... expensive. i have heard the same of elos. i personally use alot of API and some salifert.

Ok so back to the goes the Reef Master Test kit and Trade it in for a saltwater master kit :D Works for me. Yeah I will buy some salifert mag and ca are the main ones I think. Do you think I need any other ones?

ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, mag, ca, alk and a refractometer are you main ones.
there are others you can get too, like phosphates, copper, strontium, and so forth.

i would just stick to the main ones, atleast for now. check out ebay for a refrato and never dose anything you dont test for.
