expecting platies

a couple of weeks ago one of my platties had fry, but unfortunately I witnessed the last one being swallowed. I now have two very large platties, i have put them in a breeding tank. Would anyone be able to help with any tell tell signs of them having their fry? :?

For platies and mollies the only way to tell how far into the pregnancy the fish is, is by seeing how fat they are, the ones which are about to spawn will seem almost square from the back view and will be very swollen in the middle.
your best bet is to make sure there are enough fine plants so the fry can hide??
