Black Ghost Knife any advice??
hey i'm thinking of getting a Black ghost knife to add to my tank. i have read up about them on the internet, but a lot of that info is generalization. Does anyone who owns a black ghost have any advice?.
Don't own one an probably never will.
But anyway... They need a 75gal tank Minimum, Max size is 18". They are nocturnal and will eat what sleeping fishys they can. They also send out weak electrical impulses, if any other fish in the tank does this you are going to have problems.
ya i read about that and I have a big tank with nothing but a few gouramis in it. Thats why I decided to not go with an elephant nose as well. But thanks
i havent kept them myself, but a friend of mine put one in his 125 and some of the smaller fish slowly dissappeared in a very short time........As stated before, they get rather large for an aquarium............I myself wouldnt put them in anything under a 6 foot tank
