Is this 6 bulb T5 fixture sufficient?
I am still debating between going and getting a T5 HO fixture or going with a metal halide because I really do not want to buy lighting twice. I have been searching for good lighting at a resonable price for 3 weeks no lol.
So I have found this at a near by grow store over the net.
Here is a link
Ventura Series 6 Lamp 4' T5 High Output Fluorescent Fix
It is a 6 bulb, T5 fixture. Would this be good for ALL corals, I do not want to be limited in the future.
I believe it is 48" and my tank is only 36" but I do intend to upgrade to a larger tank within the year.
Or I may have the opportunity to buy a dual 400 watt complete MH set up.
Each bulb is 400 watts. Comes with a dual ballast and all cords. Should I just get this and use the one 400 watt lamp for the entire tank? It is the 40 gallon tank I am talking about. I am tempted to purchase this because I want to upgrade to a 90 or 120 gallon tank within a year, so then I could just retrofit the dual MH lights to accomodate the new tank. Would a 6 bulb 4 ft fixture be enough for a 120 gallon tank?
Or would this be suffice for a future 120 gallon tank?
an 8 bulb T5 fixture?
