Love the rock background! Looks like the cute lizzards like it too!
Thanks! It was such a pain to build, I debated just going out and spending the money on a bunch of slate lol. I'm glad it's getting used though, they spend tons of time running around on it.
wow !! that lizard looks cool :)
how big do they grow ?
They grow to about 10 inches I believe.
They're both about 6.5" right now, and they live in a 24 gallon tank.
I think once they get a bit bigger I'll get them a new one, cause I got this one
for free and the glass is all scratched and stained and no matter what I use I
can't get it to look very good. I couldn't tell when it held fish, but now I sure can.
keep us updated will you ? :)
FTS yet? lol!
Sure I'll keep you updated.
The last couple days have not gone so smooth, as some crickets (5 or 6 that I know of) got out
of the tank. They climb up the fake vine I have and out a small hole where the screen top doesn't
quite meet the tank edge because of the thermostat cord.
Needless to say, the family was not so happy when one crawled across the living room floor, and
another was found in the bathroom in my Mom's room.
This bring about the question.. does anyone know of anything i can put along the edge of the
tank to keep the crickets in that would not be toxic to lizards?
Or alternatively, can anyone suggest a good staple food that can't crawl out of my tank? lol.
I either solve the problem or get rid of the lizards :S
Anyways, thanks for being so interested in this, I didn't think anyone would be lol. And I'll get
that FTS up sometime this weekend, I have lots to do though!
FTS(full tank shot) will be great to see.
as for the crickets, that's why i changed to locus.
finding a cricket in my bed was just to much to take!!
and as for interest,it does really interest me :)
having geckos opens the reptile world up for me,and i love to see the
different ones that grace our lives. Jpet has some wonderfull Spiders,
try placing some aluminum(sp)foil around the cord and see if that helps.
i don't think they can cross it,when you get five mins to yourself post a picture
of the back of the tank where the trouble is,and we can see what else we can suggest.
Don't lizards also like mealworms? At least worms can't jump from a tank.
