120 gallon tank with Oscars?
Instead of figure 8 puffers, I decided with oscars.
The tank dimensions are 4 ft, 2ft, 2ft.
I am going to buy some small oscars, about 3. Will my tank fit them when they are grown? If not, what about 2 of them? About the filtration, the best for oscars would be? I was thinking about 2 emperor 400 bio-wheels and perhaps a canister.
I wouldn't risk putting two oscars in that tank together, not because 120gallons isn't big enough(it is), but because of the dimensions. My personal belief is that you can fit two oscars in a 100 gallon tank. The key is that it's a 100 long(6ft), not a taller tank. This would give the fish plenty of space to get away should the other one become a little too hostile. With the dimensions that you have, there is no where to go and hide when the battle begins. It might be possible to keep a male and female in there, but I wouldn't know about that setup.
