Red bellied Pacu
Can someone help me figure out the care of these fish? I have been looking into getting a couple on craigslist, and I am looking at different care sights, some say 20g minimum, some say 250g! Do they need live food? Can I have them in with a pleco?any other help is awesome! thanks:-D
uh, i know they can get up to 2 feet. That's about all i know. I never read any further into it as i have nowhere to happily home that.
A VERY large tank. Definitely not a 20gal. Fish gets very large and has a large bioload as well.
hmm, there was a pair of them on caigslist in a 47g tank that I was looking into.... wait, whats the difference between pacus and piranhas? Becuase she had them labled as both....
Pacus I believe get larger than a piranah(sp). There diets are completely different. Pacus eat vegetable matter, and everyone knows what piranahs eat.....
hmm, I also know pacus are more gentle, but I can't tell from the pics if they are pacus or pihranahs, help?
