Rena Filter on Craigslist

I've been looking for a Rena XP3 filter for a while on Craigslist hoping to get one for a decent price. So I finally found one but the person who is selling it used it in a saltwater setup and I want to use it for a freshwater setup. Are there any issues with using a filter that was previously used for SW for FW?? As long as I give it a good cleaning and use new filter media would it be OK??

your fine, i would soak the parts in vinegar and then rinse them as there prob. would be calcium deposits but the filter will be fine.
