Some blurry pics of my tanks *not 56k friendly* I finally wrestled my wife's new camera phone away from her, it's only a 1.3 megapixel cam though, so the pics aren't terribly good. Here is my wife's F8 puffer's current sad tank. I'm going to get in there and scrub the back as soon as I'm done with this post. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/..._Gal_Small.JPG Here's a blurry closeup pic of him. Little bugger wouldn't hold still! :) http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...re_8_Small.JPG Here's his new home, once it cycles. Any ideas on how to decorate it? The java fern is going to come into here, and I have the two coconut caves, but I'm not sure what else to do with it. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...nuts_Small.JPG This is the left side of my 55. I found that rock while hiking one day, and thought that the arrowhead-looking bit was quartz. It's actually wax, but I like the way it looks so I kept it on. The java fern is tied to it with fishing line. In front you can see one of the slate caves, with a honey gourami and my hillstream loach under it. You can't see in the tube very well, but one of the USD cats and my big violet gobi are in there. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...Rock_Small.JPG Here's one of my peacock eels, hiding behind some java lava. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...ding_Small.JPG Here is the middle of the tank. On the left you can see the rear of my skunktail loach and the one remaining neon. The cave is made out of some wild slate I found. In the middle are some red minor tetras, and an african dwarf frog. On the right you can see one of the branches of my java fern tree, and some more slate caves in the front. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...warf_Small.JPG Here's my java fern tree. I took some driftwood I found up in a mountain creek and soaked/boiled it until it stopped making tea water. Then tied a bunch of java fern to it. One of the bichir is up in the top left corner, I have a feeling they are where all my neons went :(. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...Tree_Small.JPG Here's my big pleco. I wish the rest of the pics came out this good! http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...leco_Small.JPG Here's the smaller violet gobi. He's 7" long. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...Gobi_Small.JPG Here's my smaller peacock eel, hiding in the sword, and the pleco. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...leco_Small.jpg Here's a pic looking through the right side of the tank. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...Side_Small.JPG And finally, here's a (terrible) pic of the full tank. You can't see much, but it gives perspective for all the closeups. http://home.comcast.net/~myrddraal1/...urry_Small.JPG What does everyone think? |

do u dose ferts? C02? i like the hillstream loach. have one myself. how long have you had your dwarf frog? i've had 4 now and after 3 weeks or so they always died. couldnt ever diagnose it. final thought was that the current was too strong. i like the big tank but it needs lots more plants!! |
