Guppies and new plaies are breeing

I bought 3 platies, 2 female one male, The second the male Guppy sees the female platies he mates with her. I have heard male guppies will try to mate with everything but will there be any fry? if so will they be fertile?

Website found good livebearer information

I don't think you will get Platy/guppy cross fry. I did however find a really good website about Guppies and it will work for any livebearer Here it is:
http://aquariumhobbyist.com/guppies/index.html

I have this one saved under my favorites as it has a ton of very good information covering livebearers.

The anatomy part only works with poeciliids Eileen. Fin names will work with any fish but goodeids have an entirely different sex differentiation that does not include a gonopodium for a male. They are livebearers but also do not store sperm packets like poeciliids.

When I use to have platties . my guppy male would try and mate with them. but they never had any mixed babies.
