this is my ten gallon
i im tryin to do a planted tank/breeding tank
so far everything went good i got a blue ram pair that seem to be doing good
i have Philippine java fern, some pellia , Anacharis and banana plants
it is only 15 watts but i use root tabs and every thing seems to be good the banana plants are doing great to my surprise
the 2 black mollies in the pic were to cycle it and i just didn't move them yet

the male doesn't have very good coloring but the female is beautiful

That is a sharp looking tank. Did you plant the Java Fern in the substrate, or anchor it to a decoration?

That is a great looking tank. I really like the rock backdrop. If these rams are recently purchased it is possible that you have two males. From what I have seen out there, rams that are less than a year old, and have that much color tend to have hormoes injected. I hope you do have a female though, then you can breed and send a few females my way! I have two males....:-?

the java fern is planted in the substrate
i am almost positive they are male and female
see the long front dorsal fin on the male and the female has the pink belly

That's a great looking tank! I love the way the slate is set up - it is very unique and gives the tank a real distinctive look that I love BTW :) Your rams are gorgeous as well, and I'm sure they'll color up better once they've been with you for a while.
