Betta in a New Home
I previously had my Betta fish in a one gallon bowl as a temporary solution until I could upgrade my tank. Today I went out and purchased a 5 gallon hex tank with a filter that hangs down into the tank. The fish seems much happier now that he can spread out his fins and explore the new tank, but I've noticed that whenever he goes up to the surface for air he freaks out cause the current from the filter pushes him around the surface. Any ideas on a way to lessen the amount of water flowing out of the filter? Or should I just leave it be seeing as he's still breathing the surface air and seems to be alright otherwise?
Thanks in advance.
Bettas don't like currents, so the more you can get it lessened the better IMO.
