Which sexing is better
 

I have heard that if a cichlid has 1 or more egg spots on thier tails that they are a male but I have also heard that if the anal fin is roundish then it is a female and if the anal fin is kind of pointy that it is a male, So which one is better to go off of?

i would never trust the egg spots as both sexes can have these. The fin and tubes is a better way but its still not 100 percent

Do you now a way that is better?

IMO the tubes is the best way but you can never be sure until they mature/start breeding

When the fish are ready to spawn "breeding tubes" poke out from the anal area. This is where the eggs and sperm come out. The male's tube is more pointed.
