125 gallon tank setup advice
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I need a little advice about my fish tank. About 2 years ago I purchased a 125 gallon tank that is a very nice setup with light oak wood and a matching hood; I bought some expensive pieces of driftwood to go with it. My plan at the time was to set it up as a freshwater system with some sunfish and make it look like a Mn lake. I think I have almost everything to get this up and running, but, here is my dilemma, I have never set it up because after I bought it, we decided to remodel our whole main floor living space, thatís were the tank will be. So I did not want to get it all set up just to take it back down for our project. Well itís now been 2 years and we are starting our project now. The tank is in the way, and maybe I should sell it, but I have always wanted a big tank like this and it breaks my heart to get rid of it and I never even used it. Putting down new vinyl flooring is another concern, the tank is heavy and will it ruin our floor if we were to ever sell our house? The tank is a drilled tank, and I am not sure how to set it up so I wonít have any water flooding issues. Another thing is, how much maintenance would I be looking at everyday or every week with a freshwater tank setup, would it be less with saltwater? Also, after sitting that long with no water in it, has that caused damage to the silicone? Sorry all the questions, but I really need some advice. Thanks
