Difference in RedSea Berlin Skimmers X2 vs Classic?

I was looking at the RedSea Berlin Skimmers. Old vs New versions. Why do they claim the new one works so much better? Is it because the new pumps produce more/better bubbles than the old venturies did or is there another factor that I am not aware of? If its just the pump could you upgrade an Old skimmer with a new pump and have the same thing? Thanks, Arkangel77

I'd also be interested in the answer to this one..

I'm looking at setting up a 90gal mixed reef tank and have a TON of "parts" that I've recently received in a barter swap with an office buddy.

I've got a classic that is setup with a powerhead pump but I'm thinking about changing it out to an externally driven pump (any suggestions?)

oh, HI, I'm NEW..

When you create a new product, and do not want to sell the old product anymore, you make claims that the new trumps the old. IMHO it's a sales ploy. They don't seem that much different, but i'd have to use it and see the size of the bubbles and all the factors before i could say anything else.
