4ft tank 2nd setup ive just brought another 4ft tank, but we are moveing soon. so im not setting up untill after we have moved, with my first tank i was new to the game andfollowed my loacal shop guide lines. This time id like to add some sort of soil to help with plant growth, i have no idea on wat type of soil is needed (of course not out from the garden ) lol so if any one has any advice for me it will be much appreciated also can i use under gravel filters and i have a extrenal fluval il be using |
welcome to the forum. you can use sand (play sand is cheap and works great granted to pre-rinse it very well) or something like eco complete, you can even use gravel but you will want to suppliment nutrients with root tabs. the undergravel filter isnt good for planted tanks, or tanks with sand. the canister filter will do just fine. have you read about http://www.fishforum.com/member-subm...-methods-3067/ what are you fish, plant, lighting plans? |
well the cabinet has 2 ballast was going to use one for a moon light and as for fish and plants havent quite made my mind up il definaakty will get some more bog wood for this one i like the natural affect |
