gourami weight loss? help
my male opalien gourami has stopped growing. and hes really shy all the time hides near the bottom in weeds. compared to the male blue gourami i have hes considerably less full of figure. he looks like an emanciated skinny fish if ive ever seen one cuz he looks too long for his width. could he have parasites or some other ailment thats causing his inactivity and loss of weight?
maybe he's the inferiour fish in the tank. which is weird since he's male. I have that with my cae's.....one's fullgrown and the other is 1/3 of the size.
Try adding floating plants. Gourami's really need floating plants.
2 male trichogaster trichopteris is never a good idea in a smallish tank.
they dont seem to fight even though they are two males. and ive had floaiting plants the whole time it didnt make any difference the small female gold does fine with or without it and is very active.
