Just got a canon 400D a few days ago and still not knowing what im doing i took a few pics. here are some decent ones. 2 of the 3 were taken in a totally dark room with only light being the flash.

Very clear photos! Have you tried to take your pictures in a dark room without the flash and just use the tank lighting?

That is how i usally take pictures but it was late and all the lights were off in this room already so i didnt want to wake them all up. Thats why the flag cichlid is showing those dark sleeping colors. I will for sure have more pics comming since ive been toying with this camera.

Wonderful photos, the second lung fish photo his eyes look almost blue.
