New Tank, New Pair of Convicts.. Safe for Cory's?
Hey All, new to the forum and brimming with questions.. so I'll just give you one for now :)
Temporarily I have setup a 6 Gallon tank for a pair of Juvenile Convict Chiclids. Using this size until I move this summer and can purchase a 75 Gallon that I have been looking at.. Figure the 6 be much easier to move :)
I am curious if Cory's would be safe with these 2? I know it's small by tank size.. but again it is only temporary. I have had alot of fun with Pygmy Cory's in another tank and was wondering which you would recommend if any to go with the Convicts, or some other form of bottom feeder?
I don't think a 6g tank will last you until summer. Convicts grow very fast, so they should be in something like 20g as soon as possible. A 75g isn't really necessary. A 29g should be fine for a pair of them.
29 gallon would be a good stand in i've had several in the past not a bad species tank for em I suppose. Thanks for replies..
As for Crayfish, i've never tried them.. use to catch them by the bucketloads as a kid and sell them to restaurants though :)
yeah the cory's would make great food for the convicts props on providing a balnced diet for your babies!
