So finally after the seemingly endless "god, my nitrites are still 5+ppm" stage. I come home from school today to test my water as usual and to my disbelief my nitrites were at .25ppm. I'm definitely excited as I'm pretty hopeful it is really close to being done. I'm still unsure what i want to put in it first as I do know i want a couple of mollies, an RTS, probably some neon tetras, and/or a blue ram or two if i can fit! I'm mostly worried that all i have in my 20g right now is the single half of a log looking center piece and that is definitely not enough for hiding places. I'm going to be ordering some cuttings of java fern, moss and crypt or anubias very soon though.
I know how you feel. My 10 gallon just finished... But I started it with two mollies. They're still around too. I really like them. The bummer thing is now I have to wait for my 20 so I can transfer it all. Now I also have two loaches.
I got some java moss today... It's neat. I just need to decide on a cool way to place it.
Yay, the best part is much closer now! Congrats on the cycling almost being finished. Just remember when adding fish it is best to do it slowly!! Don't want to rush things and not have it work out!!!
I also want to ask. i just got a new decoration for my tank. Despite it being so late in the cycling process, is it ok to add a new decoration if it's properly boiled and the placed in the tank?
