Angel Fish question I was wondering how many I could put in my 56 gallon. I wanted just two but not sure if thats ok? |
Looking at your signature, I'm guessing the tank is relatively tall. This is good for angelfish, but means that you can put in less fish (less surface area). I would go for a maximum of three, and keep very little other fish. |
The demensions are 25H 30L and 18W |
I would buy 5 or 6 juveniles and then let them pair off. Keep your favorite pair and return the rest. Two in a 56g column is a good number. You could probably get away with a nice school of rummynose tetras (six or eight), a school of 6 or so cories and possibly a dwarf cichlid of some kind for the lower levels. |

If this is the tank with your discus ,I would be very careful to quarantine any fish I added to this tank for a minimum of three weeks so as not to introduce possible parasite or disease. I might also consider that Angel fish are somewhat more aggressive at feeding time and Some Discus don't compete very well for food in community setting. IME. |
