Berlin Sump Acrylic Mount with Filter Sock?
I have one, but just wanted to see what the board's thoughts were on this mount?
Berlin Sump Acrylic Mount with Filter Sock
if you want something pre built go for it, IMO its not hard to cut a hole in plexi that fits a sock and use weldon to attach another piece to hook onto the side of the tank, then you plumb the drain line into the sock.
as for using filter socks, thats another story. i hear mixed things on them. i personally do not use socks but i know many many reefers that do. as long as they are kept clean they are good for removing water bourne particles and cutting down bubbles, however i have heard that the finer socks also remove the tiny things corals feed off of. i dont know if thats 100% true but it sounds logical.
