floating white worms?
I was watching my angelfish tonight and noticed some little white worm looking things floating around. About 1/4" long and thinner than hair. I noticed them when the angel was hoovering like he was waiting for food to float by. Then I saw him start eating this stuff floating around. I had to get real close to see them.
My tank has only been set up a few weeks. I put in some donor filter media two days ago to help with the bacteria, under my fliter pad. I am doing 25% water changes daily andonly feeding them once a day. Although yesterday I tried some frozen brine shrimp, and they did not eat all of it. I netted out as much as I could.
Anyone able to tell me what's going on??

they're just gravel worms they're totally beneficial they eat waste out of the gravel and they're a taste treat for the fish. As long as you don't see them attach to the fish they're safe. Wait till you vacuum your gravel then you'll really see how many you have. They usually attach themselves to plants and hitch a ride to your tank..just to explain how you got them in the first place

I don't have any real plants but like I said I did take a filter cartidge from a tank at work. Don't see as many of them this morniing. I don't see anything attached to the fish. They look great. Just the dominant angel seems to be keeping the other three in check. The water also looked "dirty", like the gravel had been disturbed, a lot of specs floating around.
Just to add to the description, they are very small, smaller than an eyelash.

Just in case anyone reads this, they were 99.9% gone within 24 hours of seeing them.
