i use prime by seachem to treat water before i put it into my aquarium. how long should i wait before i add the water after i have treated it?

I dont wait at all. I swirl the water around a little to mix it, then add the new water to the tank.

Is it possible to add TOO much treater? I have a 20 gallon tank and the Prime bottle says one cap for 50 gallons, so usually if i'm doing 90% or more of the tank water I do half a cap...But i was curious how you guys measure it out for smaller water changes like weekly ones? I'm still cycling my tank so it's not that big of a deal but I'd like to be prepared.
One milliletre (ml) treats ten gal. For 10 gal quarantine tank that I use .A medicine dropper found at most drug stores works well. Really not a good idea to change more than fifty percent of water at one time.

I also use a medicine dropper to measure. The instructions already say you can double he dose if needed but that is all I would do, no more. If you have waited until a 90% water change is needed to correct things you have waited too long. The water change itself is not the problem, the problem is fixing water that has been allowed to get that bad.
